Kentucky Wing Scholarship Opportunities

GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose/Description: The scholarship is established by the members of the Kentucky Wing to assist motivated cadets and adults to further their training and experience in Civil Air Patrol. The scholarship provides financial assistance to members who would otherwise be unable to participate in select activities. The scholarship's function is to provide support for attendance at a Civil Air Patrol college, training event, conference, or other CAP activity. This is not a competitive scholarship.

KANTOR SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose/Description: The scholarship was established by the Kentucky Wing Civil Air Patrol and the Kantor family in memory of Col David A. Kantor, Kentucky Wing Commander, whose love of aviation and volunteer service inspired so many who knew him. The Kantor Scholarship is intended to assist motivated cadets in moving forward with their goal of obtaining a private pilot certificate. The Kantor Scholarship provides financial assistance to cadets who would otherwise be unable to realize their dream of a future aviation career. The scholarship’s function is to provide support for attendance at a Civil Air Patrol Flight Academy or for flight instruction either using CAP resources, a private flight school, or private CFI instruction. This is a competitive scholarship.
